Bigodi swamp walk is one of the ideal ways of exploring the scenic beauty and the rich biodiversity of Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary– the “Home of the Great-blue Turaco”. 
This thrilling 4.5km long guided swamp walk will take you through the rich wildlife corridor of Kibale Forest. It’s an amazing 3hours interpretative tour with an expert sanctuary guide who escorts you through the lush vegetation along the boardwalks.


Day 1 Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will proceed to clear with immigration and customs procedures. Thereafter, you will be met by Primate Expeditions representative just outside the baggage area and transferred to your hotel, remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 2 Kibale

After breakfast, you will be transferred the airport for your schedule light flight to Kasese airstrip ETD0700 ETA1000 (Baggage allowance is strictly 15kgs in soft sided duffel bags) Upon arrival at Kasese airstrip, you will be met by the Primate Expeditions driver guide and drive to your lodge (approx 02hours).
Check in and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 3 Kibale – Chimp trek + Bigodi swamp walk

Today, after breakfast you will proceed to the Uganda Wildlife Park headquarters where you will be briefed on how to behave in the forest while in the presence of the cheeky chimps. Thereafter enter
the forest in search of the cheeky chimpanzees as well as other primates, later return to the base where your driver will be waiting and have lunch. After lunch you will go for a swamp walk in the Bigodi area where you will sight various bird species and other primates. Return to the lodge in the evening to freshen up for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Queen Elizabeth

Today, after breakfast, you check out and drive to the Southern sector of the vast Queen Elizabeth
National Park. Check in at Ishasha Wilderness Camp for lunch, late afternoon game drives returning to the camp before dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve

Today, after breakfast, you check out and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving at the lodge late afternoon and check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve

Today you set off on your Uganda gorilla tracking adventure in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest Reserve – home to half of the world’s total mountain gorilla population. While trekking through the dense forest you’ll have the opportunity to view the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of the Gentle Giants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park surely is the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. After this captivating and unforgettable experience, you will head back to your Uganda safari lodge.

Day 7 Entebbe

After breakfast, check out and be transferred to Kihihi airstrip (approximately 90mins) for your morning scheduled light flight ETD0945 ETA1125 hours (baggage allowance is strictly 15 kg in soft sided duffel bags) back to Entebbe International airport arriving in time to connect on your international flight.

· Mahogany Springs Lodge includes; Accommodation on full board basis, laundry services, a glass of cask wine or a local beer or a soft drink at dinner time, a visit to the Ride 4 a Woman and Buhoma hospital.
